Chapter 16: The True Prince

Chapter 16: The True Prince
Six months later. Paris, France.
The lights of the Eiffel Tower danced across the Seine. Clara was backstage at her debut Paris show, checking the final fits on her models. Her collection, titled “Resilience,” was already the most anticipated event of the season.
As she was adjusting a veil, a man walked into the backstage area. He wasn't a model, and he wasn't a reporter. He was dressed in a classic, immaculate tuxedo, holding a single branch of blooming cherry blossoms.
It was Lucas Thorne.
Lucas was a legendary figure in the art and fashion world—a reclusive billionaire philanthropist and a world-renowned architectural designer. More importantly, he had been Clara’s classmate at the design institute years ago, before her father passed away. He had always loved her from afar, but had stepped back when she started dating Andrew, respecting her choice.
"Lucas," Clara said, a genuine, warm smile breaking across her face.
"You look like you’re about to conquer the world, Clara," Lucas said, his voice deep, warm, and comforting. He handed her the cherry blossoms. "I saw the preview pieces. The gold-stitched gown... it’s a masterpiece."
"Thank you for coming, Lucas," Clara whispered. "You’re one of the few people who knew me before all of... this."
"I knew the girl who spent sixteen hours straight sewing a costume for a charity play just to make kids smile," Lucas said, looking into her eyes with pure sincerity. "And I see her right now. The wealth hasn't changed you, Clara. It just gave you the shield you always deserved."

The stage manager called out. "Two minutes to showtime, Ms. Mason!"
Lucas stepped back, smiling. "Go show them what a real queen looks like."
