The backyard of their home was alive with the sounds of laughter and music. String lights hung across the patio, casting a warm, golden glow over the evening.

Mia, her ankle long healed, was teaching Amara how to do a complicated dance routine on the grass. Marcus stood by the grill, flipping burgers and laughing at a joke his brother had just told.

Danielle stood on the porch, leaning against the wooden railing, holding a glass of iced tea. She watched her family, absorbing the profound, unshakeable peace that radiated from the scene before her.

"Look at them," Marcus whispered, pressing a kiss to her temple.

"I see them," Danielle smiled, resting her head against his chest.
