Chapter 10 - A New Dawn

Six months after the trial, the Castillo mansion had undergone a complete transformation. Alejandro had ordered the old wine cellar and the underground bunker completely demolished, replacing the substructure with a beautiful, sunlit indoor botanical garden filled with Elenaâs favorite white roses and orchids. The dark, heavy furniture of the past had been replaced with bright, modern decor, purging the home of every trace of the Moretti infection.
It was a beautiful, warm summer afternoon. The sun cast a golden glow across the manicured lawns where a small, intimate gathering of true friends and loyal staff were celebrating.
Elena stood on the terrace, watching the sunset over the horizon. Her laughter, once a forgotten memory, ringed through the air as she conversed with Dr. Harrison, who had officially cleared her of all physical ailments.
Alejandro walked up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist and resting his chin on her shoulder. "What are you thinking about, mi amor?"
Elena turned in his embrace, her hands resting against his chest. "I was just thinking about how beautiful the world looks when youâre no longer hiding in the dark. For three years, I thought this view was gone forever. But being here with you... it feels like weâve finally come home."
"We have," Alejandro said softly, pulling a small velvet box from his pocket. He opened it to reveal a stunning, flawless emerald ringâthe exact replica of the engagement ring Vivian had stolen and destroyed.
"Elena Castillo, you never stopped being my wife, but I want to promise you a new beginning. A life filled with nothing but love, safety, and light. Will you stay by my side forever?"
May you like
Tears of pure happiness welled in Elenaâs eyes as she nodded. "Forever, Alejandro."
As he slipped the ring onto her finger and drew her into a deep, passionate kiss, the guests cheered from the garden below. The nightmare that had begun on a stormy night three years ago had finally dissolved, replaced by the brilliant, unstoppable dawn of a beautiful future they had fought through hell to reclaim.
