Chapter 10 - The Garden of Light

The wedding was not a cold, pretentious gathering of sixty corrupt aristocrats.

It was an intimate, breathtaking celebration held in the sunlit garden of the Falcone estate. The perimeter was lined with white orchids, light golden lights hung from the ancient maple trees, and the air was filled with warm laughter and sweet music.

Rebecca walked down the white aisle dressed in an exquisite lace gown, her dark hair styled in soft waves, looking radiant and stunning. Walking beside her as the flower girl was Clementine, wearing a beautiful white dress and holding a basket of rose petals, smiling brightly at everyone.

At the end of the aisle stood Adriano, wearing a sharp black tuxedo, his jaw relaxed, his dark eyes shining with tears of pure happiness as he watched his bride walk toward him.

When Rebecca reached him, Adriano took her hands into his.

The minister spoke words of love, resilience, and second chances. When the moment came, Adriano slipped a gold wedding band onto Rebecca’s finger, and she placed one onto his.

"I pronounce you husband and wife," the minister declared. "You may kiss the bride."

Adriano pulled Rebecca close, dipping her gently as he kissed her with a deep, passionate tenderness that drew cheers and applause from their true friends and loved ones gathered around them.

As the evening turned into night, the garden sparkled with golden lights. Clementine ran over, tugging on Adriano’s jacket.

"Daddy Adriano! Look!" she giggled, pointing at a small kitten playing in the grass.

Adriano smiled, bending down to pick Clementine up in one arm, while wrapping his other arm around Rebecca’s waist.

They stood together at the edge of the crystal-clear pool, looking at their reflection in the water—no longer a story of cruel laughter and lonely tears, but a picture of an unbroken, loving family.

"Are you happy, Mommy?" Clementine asked, resting her small head against Rebecca’s shoulder.

Rebecca looked at Adriano, whose eyes were shining with unconditional love, then at her daughter, whose future was now safe and bright.

"I'm more than happy, sweetheart," Rebecca said softly, holding her family tight. "We're finally home."
