The Verdict

The Verdict

The federal trial of Dr. Julian Reed became the absolute center of national media attention. Reporters and satellite trucks completely blockaded the courthouse steps in Manhattan. Julian was escorted into the room in full restraints, but he still held his chin up, relying on the remaining political connections his family had secured over decades.

But when the mercenary took the stand as the prosecution’s star witness, Julian's entire defense wall fractured in real-time. An intercepted audio recording of a call Julian had placed from inside the detention center—routed through a burner phone my security team had deliberately planted—was played for the courtroom.

"Handle the girl before the delivery date. I don't need the child anymore. Make it look like a clinical complication brought on by her documented depression."

Julian’s own voice bounced off the high oak walls of the courtroom. A collective gasp tore through the gallery. Even his primary defense counsel turned their faces away from the table, completely abandoning the case.

The judge slammed the gavel down with a thunderous echo.

"Julian Reed, the jury finds you guilty on all counts. You are hereby sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole at the ADX Florence federal maximum-security facility."

Julian collapsed against the defense table. The status, the wealth, and the flawless reputation of Manhattan's favorite surgeon were permanently terminated in a sentence that carried no return date.
