Chapter 10 - A Home Built on Love

One year later, the sun was shining brightly over a beautiful estate overlooking the blue waters of Lake Como, Italy.
The grand gardens were filled with blooming white roses and soft music. Family friends, business partners, and staff gathered around a stunning stone altar positioned near the water’s edge.
Matteo stood at the altar, looking impossibly handsome in a tailored black tuxedo. Beside him stood Leo, now four years old, wearing a matching mini-tuxedo and holding a small velvet pillow containing two gold rings. The little boy was all smiles, waving cheerfully at Anna sitting in the front row.
Then, the music swelled.
Cameron walked down the aisle, her gown a breathtaking creation of white lace and soft chiffon that caught the warm Italian breeze. She held a bouquet of fresh orchids, her eyes locked entirely onto Matteo. There was no ghost of Sofia standing beside her today; Cameron stood in her own radiant light, a powerful, beloved woman who had claimed her own destiny.
When she reached the altar, Matteo took her hand, his eyes filled with profound reverence and deep, unconditional love.
"Two years ago, a miracle walked through my front door in a maid's uniform," Matteo said, his voice echoing softly over the quiet lake. "You refused to fear my son's grief, and you refused to let me drown in mine. Cameron, you brought light into a darkness I thought would last forever. I give you my heart, my life, and my protection for as long as I live."
Cameron smiled through happy tears, holding his hand tightly. "I spent my whole life looking for a place where I belonged, Matteo. I thought I was alone in the world. But in your home, in your arms, and in Leo's heart, I found my family. I promise to love you, honor you, and walk beside you through every storm and every sunshine."
The priest pronounced them husband and wife, and Matteo pulled Cameron into a passionate, breathtaking kiss as the guests erupted into joyful applause.
Leo immediately jumped up, throwing his arms around both of their legs. "Mama! Daddy!" he cheered happily.

Matteo leaned down, scooping Leo up into his arms while wrapping his other arm around Cameron’s waist. The three of them stood together at the edge of the water, laughing under the bright Italian sky.
The pain of the past was gone, replaced by the sweetest truth of all: that love, when brave enough to face the darkest fear, can rebuild any broken heart into a home.
