Chapter 5 - The Midnight Search

At 11:00 PM that same night, blue emergency lights flooded the grand driveway of Diane Bradley’s multi-million-dollar estate in Belle Meade.

Detective Sarah Martinez, accompanied by four state troopers and Marcus Thorne, stepped onto the marble porch holding a search warrant signed by Federal Magistrate Judge William Brody.

I sat in the backseat of Frank Miller’s SUV across the street, watching through the tinted glass.

The front door opened, and Diane appeared. She was wearing a velvet robe, her face red with rage as Detective Martinez presented the warrant.

"This is an outrage!" Diane’s voice carried across the manicured lawn. "You have no right to enter my home at this hour! My attorney is on his way!"

"Ma'am, step aside," Detective Martinez commanded coldly. "We have a search warrant for the recovery of forged medical records, bribery documents, and illegal surveillance materials connected to the state investigation of Dr. Edward Croft."

The state troopers pushed past her into the grand foyer. Ten minutes later, two officers walked out carrying a heavy grey steel box—the contents of Diane’s safe.

Inside that box, as Ryan had confessed, was the smoking gun:

A copy of Dr. Edward Croft’s fake psychological evaluation of me.

A canceled check for $20,000 made out to Dr. Croft from Diane’s personal account, dated three days prior.

A ledger detailing payments made to two private investigators hired to stalk my family.

An unrecorded codicil to the Charles Bradley Trust, showing that Diane had been illegally siphoning fifty thousand dollars a year from Noah's trust fund for her personal luxury expenses.

At 1:00 AM, Dr. Edward Croft was arrested at his home in Brentwood. By 2:00 AM, faced with federal fraud and perjury charges, Dr. Croft cracked completely. He signed a full confession admitting that Diane and Ryan Bradley had paid him to fabricate the mental health report against me without ever having met me.

The entire wicked structure they had built to steal my son had crumbled into dust in less than forty-eight hours.
