As the months passed, the bond between Dante and Emma grew into something far deeper than mutual respect. With the syndicate stabilized and the traitors removed, Dante began making sweeping changes to his operations, moving the family business toward legitimate enterprises, philanthropy, and community development.
He funded a state-of-the-art regional center for the deaf and hard-of-hearing, naming it after his mother. He also personally ensured that Emma’s younger sister received the finest specialized education and support services available.
One evening, Dante took Emma back to the private dining room at Aurelia—this time, reserving the entire restaurant just for the two of them and Rosa.
