Chapter 20

Chapter 20: The New Era
Three months later.
The California sun was setting over the Pacific, painting the horizon in brilliant streaks of violet and gold. The Solmere Resort was bustling, alive with the quiet, effortless hum of refined luxury.
Charlotte stood on the private terrace of the executive penthouse, holding a glass of sparkling water. The bruises on her face had long since faded, leaving behind a woman who carried herself with absolute, unshakeable confidence.
Harris stepped onto the terrace, holding a sleek tablet. He wore a new pin on his lapel—General Manager.

"Thank you, Harris," Charlotte said, turning to face him. "And the renovations to the Beverly Hills property?"
"On schedule and under budget, thanks to Mr. Mercer's oversight," Harris smiled.
"Excellent. That will be all for today."
Harris bowed his head slightly and retreated into the office, leaving Charlotte alone with the sound of the crashing waves below.

Graham was awaiting trial, locked in a cell far away from the ocean views he had tried to steal. Veronica had vanished from society, her reputation in ruins. The empire was secure.
Charlotte Vale looked out over the vast, darkening ocean. She wasn't just a daughter anymore, nor was she a victim. She was the architect of the new era of Solmere, and for the first time in her life, she felt entirely at home.
