Margaret led them herself.
She looked composed again.
Restored.
Dangerous in a different way.
“You are overreaching,” she told me in front of staff.
“This is a private family matter.”
I didn’t raise my voice.
“I disagree.”
Ethan tried again.
“Emily is confused. She needs medical evaluation, not legal escalation.”
My daughter, behind glass observation, heard him.

The lead attorney turned to me.
