Chapter 10 - Sunrise Over the Blackwood Estate

Three years later.
The grand lawns of the Blackwood estate were filled with the sound of laughter, bright sunlight, and running feet.
Four-year-old Ethan, his arm completely healed and strong, chased a golden retriever across the emerald-green grass, shouting with unbridled joy. On the grand stone veranda, Lily stood leaning against the polished wooden railing, wearing a flowing, elegant summer dress that caught the morning breeze.
A pair of strong, familiar arms wrapped around her waist from behind, pulling her back against a solid, warm chest. A chin rested gently on her shoulder.
"You look breathtaking," Victor murmured, pressing a soft, lingering kiss against the side of her neck.
Lily smiled, leaning back into her husband’s embrace and placing her hand over his. Her other hand gently rested on the slight, beautiful curve of her growing baby bump—their second child, growing safely in a home filled with unconditional love, fierce protection, and unbreakable peace.
Down on the lawn, Ethan laughed as he tripped onto the grass, and Victor let out a low, rich chuckle, lifting his voice to call out to his son.

The darkness of the Chicago underworld still existed beyond the iron gates, and the name Blackwood still commanded absolute respect and fear across the city. But inside these walls, there was only warmth, family, and a love that had risen from the ashes of betrayal to conquer the shadows forever.
Lily closed her eyes, breathing in the sweet scent of the morning, knowing with absolute certainty that she had finally found her true home.
