Chapter 6 - A Villaseñor Home

One year later.
The sun shone brightly over the gardens of the Villaseñor mansion in Las Lomas de Chapultepec. The dark energy that had once hung over the estate was completely gone, replaced by the sound of laughter, music, and blooming pink flowers.
Victoria Villaseñor and Paulina Robles had both been sentenced to fifteen years in federal prison for kidnapping, corruption, and conspiracy. Their reputations and wealth were completely wiped out.
Today, the mansion was decorated with white roses and golden ribbons.
In the master bedroom, Marisol stood before a floor-length mirror, wearing an exquisite ivory lace wedding dress that flowed gracefully down to the floor. Her hair was styled in soft waves, and a delicate diamond pendant rested on her neck—a gift from Diego.
A soft knock sounded at the door. Diego stepped inside, looking striking in a tailored navy-blue tuxedo.
He stopped in his tracks, staring at Marisol with pure adoration.
"You look breathtaking," Diego whispered, walking up behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist, resting his chin on her shoulder.
Marisol smiled through the mirror, turning to place her hands on his chest. "I still feel like I’m dreaming sometimes, Diego. A year ago, I was sweeping these floors in secret, terrified that someone would take my child away."
"You were never just a maid to me, Marisol," Diego said softly, kissing her lips gently. "You were the love of my life that I lost, and the universe gave me a second chance to make things right."
"Pretty!" a sweet voice giggled from the doorway.
They turned to see little Valentina standing there, wearing a beautiful matching white flower-girl dress, a wreath of tiny roses in her hair. In her hand, she was still holding her favorite worn-out stuffed rabbit—and pinned carefully to the rabbit’s chest was the very same golden button she had found on the stairs a year ago, now polished and set in real gold.
Valentina toddled over, grabbing both of their hands. "Mommy pretty! Daddy handsome!"
Diego laughed, lifting his four-year-old daughter up into his arms and holding Marisol close with his other arm.
Downstairs, hundreds of guests—business leaders, true friends, and journalists who had covered their story—applauded as the family walked down the grand marble staircase together. There were no secrets anymore. No shame. Only an unbreakable bond forged through trial and triumph.

As they stepped out into the sunlit garden to exchange their vows, Diego looked at Marisol, then at Valentina, feeling a warmth in his heart he had never known before.
The maid had not stolen a billionaire’s heart—she had returned to reclaim the family that was always meant to be. And in the house where she was once told to leave, Marisol was now home.
