Part 9: Building a Safer Future
The foundation eventually partnered with schools, hospitals, and community organizations across the country.
Thousands of parents attended free workshops on child safety, emotional well-being, and recognizing signs of abuse. Teachers received training. Caregivers learned better ways to support children.
Our mission had grown far beyond our own story.
Lily graduated high school with honors and decided to study psychology, determined to help children heal from trauma. Tommy dreamed of becoming a police officer, saying he wanted to protect kids just like someone had protected his sister.
