Chapter 2 - The Truth Unveiled

The hospital wing was locked down. Outside, the media—who had been covering the charity gala downstairs—sensed a scandal. Rumors were already circulating on social media, with initial headlines claiming a "catastrophic fight between socialites."
Inside the private waiting room, Marcus stood staring out the window, his fists clenched so tightly his knuckles were white. Isabella sat on a sofa across the room, her lawyer already on the phone, trying to maintain her composure.
"Marcus, please, this is a misunderstanding," Isabella tried one last time, her voice taking on a sweet, seductive tone. "Khloe’s uncle is biasing the narrative. He hates me because of our family rivalry."
Marcus slowly turned around. The look in his eyes made Isabella’s lawyer freeze mid-sentence.
"Isabella," Marcus said, his voice terrifyingly calm. "For the past six months, you told me Khloe was distant because she didn't want this marriage. You told me she was secretly meeting her ex-boyfriend. You filled my head with doubts while you pretended to be my supportive friend."
"Because it’s true!" Isabella insisted.
At that moment, the double doors swung open. Dr. Arthur Vance walked in, accompanied by two police detectives. Arthur didn't say a word to Marcus; instead, he tapped the screen of the large monitor on the wall.
The video played. It was crystal clear, high-definition footage from the hidden safety camera in the luxury suite.
The entire room watched in horrific silence as Isabella shoved a heavily pregnant Khloe into the marble table. They watched Khloe beg her to leave. And then, the ultimate horror: Isabella’s stiletto heel ruthlessly crashing into Khloe’s side, sending her crashing down.
"No... wait..." Isabella stammered, turning pale as a ghost.
"That is aggravated assault on a pregnant woman, attempted feticide, and corporate espionage," Detective Miller said, stepping forward with handcuffs. "Isabella Rossi, you are under arrest."

As the cuffs clicked around her wrists, Isabella dropped all pretense. She glared at Marcus, her face twisted in malice. "You think you won, Marcus? Even if I go to jail, Khloe is bleeding out in that room. That baby will never survive. Your precious heir is dead!"
Marcus felt a cold hand grip his heart as Isabella was dragged away, her insane laughter echoing down the corridor.
