Brenda recovered quickly.
"You think you can threaten me? Fine. I'll remove you from the family estate. Don't expect a single dollar after I'm gone."
Marcus nodded.
"I expected that."
"You... what?"
"I've never wanted your money."
Brenda blinked.
Marcus opened another document on his phone.
"I've already filed paperwork declining my future inheritance."
Rachel laughed nervously.
"Nobody refuses millions."
Marcus smiled.
"I'd rather earn my own fortune than let my wife and daughter be humiliated for someone else's."
Brenda's confidence cracked.
Without Marcus as executor, she suddenly realized the estate would fall entirely into Rachel's hands—a daughter buried in debt, with lawsuits already piling up.
