The church was filled with warm, golden candlelight, and the music playing was soft, joyful, and triumphant.
Two hundred guests stood up as the doors opened, but this time, they didn't gasp in horror—they wept tears of pure joy.
Clara walked down the aisle in a brand-new gown. It was a masterpiece of flowing silk, entirely sleeveless, proudly displaying the star-shaped scar on her right shoulder for the entire world to see. It was no longer a mark of a tragedy or a hidden past; it was a badge of her identity, the key that had unlocked her true home.
Walking beside her, holding her arm with immense pride and tearful eyes, was Victoria. Victoria wasn't standing at the altar trying to stop the wedding; she was proudly walking her daughter down the aisle to give her away to the man who loved her.
At the altar, Julian stood waiting, his eyes locked onto Clara, his face radiating absolute adoration. As Victoria placed Clara’s hand into Julian’s, she leaned in and whispered to both of them, "Be happy. You both deserve all the love in the world."

The ceremony was brief but deeply emotional. When the priest finally declared them husband and wife, the applause that erupted inside the cathedral was deafening, echoing all the way up into the vaulted ceilings.
At the reception, under a canopy of fairy lights that looked like a sky full of stars, Julian and Clara shared their first dance. Victoria watched them from the head table, her heart completely full for the first time in twenty-two years. On Clara’s wrist, catching the light as she danced, was the old silver baby bracelet, its little gold star charm jingling softly with every movement. The storm had passed, the lost had been found, and the Ashford family was finally, beautifully, whole.
