Chapter 10 - The Unbroken Circle

Six months later, the private gardens of the Sterling estate in the upscale suburbs of Brookline were filled with the sound of laughter, blooming white roses, and the sweet chatter of family.

There were no bodyguards hiding in the bushes, no corporate assassins lurking in the shadows, and no dark alleys.

Just a sunlit lawn, a small, elegant white altar, and a life built entirely from the ashes of survival.

I stood before the mirror in the bridal suite, adjusting the sweetheart neckline of my simple, elegant lace gown. My hair fell in soft waves over my shoulders, and the platinum ring on my finger caught the sunlight streaming through the French doors.

A soft knock sounded at the door.

"Come in," I called out.

The door opened, and Daniel stepped inside. He looked breathtaking in a classic black tuxedo, holding two giggling, tuxedo-clad toddlers in his arms. The twins had grown so much over the past half-year, their bright eyes full of mischief and joy as they clapped their hands at my dress.

"Are the most dangerous woman in Boston and her chief executive liaison ready?" Daniel teased, a brilliant smile lighting up his face.

"Always," I said, walking over and kissing each twin on the cheek before turning to my husband-to-be.

We walked out into the garden together, hand in hand, with the babies toddling ahead of us scattering rose petals across the grass. Standing at the altar was Julian Vance, officiating the ceremony, while a small, select group of loyal friends and colleagues watched with shining eyes.

As we exchanged our vows under the open Massachusetts sky, I looked into Daniel’s eyes and felt a profound, unshakable peace.

The bleeding stranger who had shoved a gun beneath my chin in a dark Boston alley hadn't brought destruction into my life. He had brought a family. He had brought a home. And together, standing side by side, we were no longer just survivors of the shadows—we were the rulers of our own destiny.
