40 FULL STORY : “No! Get away from him—now!”
In the heart of the busy city, thousands of people hurried past without ever glancing down.
No one noticed the little boy sitting alone beside a cold concrete wall, his thin arms wrapped around his knees, his clothes worn and dusty from countless nights spent outdoors.
To everyone else, he was invisible.
Until a cheerful voice suddenly broke through the noise.
“Hey... are you hungry?”
The homeless boy blinked and slowly looked up.
Standing in front of him was another boy about his age, neatly dressed and carrying a paper bag filled with snacks.
Without hesitation, the stranger crouched down and held out a sandwich.
“You can have this.”
The poor boy stared at the food in disbelief.
No one had ever stopped for him before.
No one had ever asked if he was hungry.
Before he could respond, a worried voice echoed from across the street.
“Ethan! Ethan, where are you?”
A woman pushed through the crowd, searching frantically for her son.
When she finally reached him, she stopped dead in her tracks.
The color drained from her face.
The paper shopping bags slipped from her hands and crashed onto the pavement.
She couldn't speak.
Couldn't breathe.
Because the boy sitting on the sidewalk looked exactly like her son.
The same dark eyes.
The same nose.
The same tiny dimple that appeared whenever they smiled.
The wealthy boy turned toward her, confused.
“Mom... why does he look just like me?”
The woman took a trembling step forward.
Her eyes filled with tears.
Memories she had tried to bury for years suddenly came rushing back.
Meanwhile, the homeless boy reached into his pocket and carefully pulled out a small silver necklace attached to a faded piece of paper.
The moment the woman saw it, her knees nearly gave out beneath her.
Because she recognized it instantly.
It was something she had lost many years ago...
