Chapter 6 - Justice and Retribution

Armed with the ultimate truth, Alejandro returned to the Aranda mansion. Doña Esther was sitting in the living room, calmly sipping wine, expecting her son to have cooled down.
Instead, Alejandro entered accompanied by the State Prosecutor and a squad of police officers.
"Alejandro, what is the meaning of this behavior?" Esther stood up, her voice trembling slightly.
"It means it's over, Mother," Alejandro said, his voice dead and cold. "I have given the prosecutor the land deeds, the bank statements, and the medical reports of the chemical burns you and Marcela inflicted on my wife. The housekeepers have also agreed to testify."
Before Esther could speak, handcuffs clicked around her manicured wrists. Down the hall, Marcela was led out in tears, screaming at her brother for destroying their family name.
"You will ruin the Aranda empire!" Esther hissed as she was dragged away.

"I don't care about the empire," Alejandro replied. "I'm building my own."
To save the company from complete collapse and right the wrongs of the past, Alejandro made a unprecedented move. He publicly confessed to his family’s historical crimes, returned the stolen lands and fair compensation to the descendants of the Coyoacán artisans, and rebranded the entire real estate firm under a new, ethical foundation. The public, moved by his transparency and defense of his wife, praised his integrity, saving the business from ruin.
