With the unprecedented success of the royal commission, Brooks Atelier became a billion-dollar valuation within its second year.
But Maya did not buy a penthouse. She did not buy luxury cars or demand a staff that bowed to her presence.
Instead, she called a press conference.
Standing before a sea of reporters, Maya looked confident, grounded, and deeply human.
"Today, Brooks Atelier is launching the Evelyn Brooks Scholarship Fund, named in honor of my late mother," Maya announced, her voice echoing clearly across the microphones.
"This foundation will fully fund the tuition, housing, and materials for twenty aspiring designers at Parsons School of Design every single year. These scholarships will be awarded exclusively to students from low-income backgrounds."
