The sirens didn’t take long.
Red and blue lights flooded the marble hall as federal agents stormed through the front doors of the mansion.
“FBI! Hands where we can see them!”
The blonde woman finally stopped screaming.
The caretaker froze completely, still holding onto the story she had been repeating—
“It was an accident… she fell herself…”
But no one was listening anymore.
The pregnant woman stood slowly, still holding her stomach, her expression unreadable.
Agent Ruiz stepped forward.
“You’re late,” she said calmly.
Ruiz glanced at her leg. “You should be in a hospital.”
“I will be,” she replied. “After they’re processed.”
The blonde woman was cuffed within minutes, still insisting she was the victim.
But then Ruiz played the video.
And everything collapsed.
