Part 2: The Truth on the Screen

The massive projector screen flickered, casting a stark, blue-white light over the opulent ballroom. The silence was absolute, broken only by the hum of the cooling fan in the projector.
The video wasn’t a hack or a malicious edit. It was raw, unadulterated footage captured from a hidden security camera in a private café in Manhattan, dated only three days prior. On screen, Rachel—wearing the same designer dress she had worn to her final bridal fitting—was seen in a heated, clandestine meeting with a man who was clearly not Logan. It was his own business partner, Marcus.
The audio was crisp. “I don’t love him, Marcus,” Rachel’s voice rang out, sharp and devoid of affection. “He’s a gateway to the Montgomery fortune. Once the trust fund is accessible after the wedding, we take the firm, drain the assets, and leave him with nothing but a scandal. It’s perfect.”
Logan stood as if carved from marble. The color drained from his face until he looked like a ghost. He looked at his bride—not with the love he had shown during the ceremony, but with the cold, analytical gaze of a man who dealt in high-stakes litigation for a living.
Theresa lunged toward the DJ booth, her silver gown rustling violently, but a group of guests—including the groom’s father—blocked her path. The video continued. It showed Rachel mocking Logan’s professional integrity, calling him "a boring, predictable puppet" to her mother over a phone call.

The revelation hit the room like a shockwave. For Valerie, the moment felt surreal. She had expected to be the target of the night, but the truth had a way of surfacing when the rot went deep enough.
"Is this true?" Logan asked. His voice was deathly quiet, yet it carried further than any microphone.
Rachel, cornered and desperate, turned on her sister. She pointed a manicured finger at Valerie, her face twisted in rage. "This is your fault! You and your brat! You’ve been stalking me!"
Valerie stood up, her hand still hovering near where Chloe had been. "I didn't even know this existed, Rachel. You did this to yourself by being exactly who you are."

Logan didn't shout. He didn't cause a scene. He simply turned to his guests, his voice steady. "The wedding is off. I suggest everyone leaves before the legal team arrives to handle the dissolution of these contracts."
As the high-society guests scrambled to leave, whispering frantically, Rachel collapsed into a chair, her empire of lies crumbling in under ten minutes.
