Chapter 10 - The Unbroken Sky

The evening faded into a magnificent twilight, painting the sky in deep shades of gold, violet, and crimson.
All of us sat around the long wooden table, sharing a delicious meal, passing dishes, and filling the night air with stories and warm laughter.
There were no screaming voices here. No fear. No cruel jokes. No hands raised in anger. Only respect, deep familial love, and absolute safety.
I leaned back in my chair, holding my glass of lemonade, looking around the table at the people who had stood by me during my darkest hour.
Alex met my gaze from across the table, raising his glass in a quiet, proud toast. I smiled back, raising mine.
I placed my hand gently over my heart. The scars on my body had faded into faint silver lines—reminders not of where I had been broken, but of where I had fought and won.
My phone sat quietly on the table beside me. It was no longer a tool of desperate survival, but a gateway to a life filled with purpose, connections, and peace.
Hope sat beside me, her mouth covered in chocolate cake frosting, giggling hysterically as Jackson made silly faces to amuse her.
